Great white sharks can be seen all year round, however, the best time to visit would be in the colder months. Water temperatures increase during winter, making this a pleasant and unforgettable experience.
Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai:
- Your shark diving trip starts in Kleinbaai, just a few minutes’ drive out of Gansbaai.
- Transport from Cape Town is available upon arrangement. Please enquire.
What can you expect:
- In the early morning, you will arrive at your shark operator’s crew house and enjoy breakfast on location whilst listening to the dive briefing.
- Choose your wetsuit and other gear to be loaded onto the boat before walking down to the jetty, ready to depart.
- The boat, which is operated by qualified and competent crew members, including a skipper, divemaster, and deckhand, sets off on a twenty-minute journey before anchoring the famous Shark Alley.
- The crew members are also trained in skills such as firefighting and medical emergencies so, rest assured, you will be in safe hands.
