How FOMO Works

Purchase a voucher by clicking “Buy Now”. Your voucher will be emailed to you immediately after payment.

To book, follow the instructions on the voucher. Present your voucher to the merchant at the time of your visit.

Have a specific date in mind? Please contact the merchant first (details under “Product Details”) to confirm availability before purchasing.

How to Buy on FOMO

1.Select your preferred offer and click ‘Buy Now’.

2.Redirected to your cart. (Click ‘Continue Shopping’ to add more items.)

3.Review and adjust your cart in the ‘My Cart’ section.

4.Click ‘Proceed to Secure Checkout’.

5.Enter your name and email address.

6.Select a payment method: Credit Card, SnapScan, Instant EFT, or Payflex.

7.Click ‘Proceed to Payment’.

8.Once payment is successful, your voucher will be emailed to you. (Check your spam folder if needed.)

How to Make a Booking

FOMO does not handle bookings. Contact the merchant using the details on your voucher.

If you have a specific date in mind, confirm availability with the venue first. Contact details are on the product page and voucher.

What To Do With Your Voucher

Refer to the Product Details section of your voucher. It provides all the information you need to redeem it successfully and contact the merchant.

Your Cancellation Rights

Cancelling Your FOMO Voucher

1. You may cancel your voucher within 7 working days of receiving it, unless:

- You didn’t check availability and cannot use the voucher.
- You’ve already booked and the cancellation window has passed (subject to the merchant’s policy).

2. If the above applies, you may still request:

- - Credit for the same amount to use on FOMO
  - An extension of the voucher for 3 more months
  - A refund minus a 20% admin processing fee

3. To cancel, email [email protected] within 7 working days. If the voucher was already redeemed, cancellation rights no longer apply.

4. Once a voucher is redeemed, refunds are not possible through FOMO.

Why You Shouldn't Pay Merchants Directly

Never pay merchants directly. Doing so removes your protection from FOMO in the event of fraud, cancellations, or non-performance.

All purchases should be completed through FOMO’s secure platform to be eligible for refunds and support.

You can contact merchants to check availability, but always make your payment on the FOMO site.

If a merchant asks for payment directly, report it to us immediately via Whatsapp at 077 451 6611.

Scheduled Service Product Terms & Conditions

Scheduled Service Products

FOMO sells certain offerings as Scheduled Service Products, which provide access to a specific service for a limited time period. These products are not classified as pre-paid vouchers under Section 63 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).

The purchase secures the value of the service at the price applicable on the date of purchase.
If the service price increases during the voucher validity period, no additional fee will be payable when redeemed within the validity window.

1. Your cancellation rights

CANCELLING YOUR FOMO VOUCHERS

1 You have a statutory right to cancel your purchase of the Voucher unless otherwise stated (non-refundable vouchers), within 7 working days after the day you receive your voucher via email (the “Voucher Cancellation Period”) provided your cancellation reason is not one of the below:

1 Not requesting availability from the merchant using the contact details provided on the product page on FOMO prior to buying the voucher, resulting in you not being able to use your voucher after purchase.
1.Cancelling your voucher after a booking has been made and falling outside of the merchant cancellation period needed for a refund.(Each merchant cancellation policy will then be in effect, and merchant will have to approve the refund)

If your cancellation reason is one of the above, you will still be entitled to 1 of the 3 options listed below.

Credit for the same amount to be used on FOMO
Extension period of your voucher for a further 3 months
Refund less 20% handling admin processing fee

2.Should you request a refund within the 7 working day period and not form one of the above reasons, FOMO will issue you with a full refund you can do so by submitting a refund request to [email protected], However, if you redeem your Voucher during the Voucher Cancellation Period, you expressly request the services to begin being provided to you, and you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel the purchase of the Voucher. Since FOMO is not responsible for the supply or provision of the Merchant Offering, once your Voucher is redeemed you are not entitled to a refund (in whole or in part).

2.1 If you cancel your purchase of the Voucher in accordance with this section 2. FOMO will refund you for all payments made as part of your purchase within 7 days of receipt of cancelation

2.2 If you wish to cancel your voucher after the voucher cancelation period has lapsed but within the validity period of the voucher (7 days from voucher being sent to you, you will be entitled to a credit for the same amount to be used on FOMO (Gift card codes have no expiry date until they are used to purchase a product).

2.3 If you redeem your Voucher, but the Merchant has not properly provided you with the Merchant Offering, or if you have a complaint regarding the provision of the Merchant Offering, you must take action against the Merchant directly. This is because the Merchant, and not FOMO, is responsible for the supply and/or provision of the Merchant Offering. FOMO only sells and supplies the Voucher. However, if you and the Merchant cannot agree on how to resolve the complaint, FOMO may, upon your request, try to help resolve the issue between you and the Merchant.

2.4 Any refund in cash will be refunded to you via your original method of payment. If your original method of payment has been cancelled, expired or has otherwise changed, you must inform the customer support team immediately – [email protected]

2.5 You have 30 days from the date you receive the refund to reject it. If you do not reject the refund during these 30 days, the refund shall be in full and final settlement of any and all claims you may have against FOMO related to, arising out of, or connected to that Voucher.

2.6 Should you cancel your FOMO voucher at any time after purchase, note that only payments made will be refunded and promo codes applied to that particular purchase will not be refunded.

2.7 Expired Vouchers: It is the responsibility of the purchaser to use the voucher within the indicated validity period. However, we will gladly extend your voucher where possible, if approved by the Merchant.

2.8 Validity of Vouchers: Vouchers validity for Booking will be stated on each product page and on each voucher, Ie 3 Months, 6 months or a static date will be provided, this is the amount of time you have to book with the merchant before the voucher expires

Please note once the voucher has been booked with the merchant, the merchants cancelation policy and validity applies

Errors and Omissions Excepted (E&OE): While we strive to ensure that all product descriptions, prices, and availability on our eCommerce store are accurate and up to date, mistakes may occasionally occur. We reserve the right to correct any errors or omissions without prior notice. In the event of a pricing or product information discrepancy, we will notify you before processing your order to ensure transparency. By using our site, you acknowledge and accept that minor inaccuracies may occur and agree that we are not legally bound by unintended mistakes.

How To Buy on FOMO?

1. Browse through the website and select the offer you wish to purchase and click ‘Buy Now’. You’ve now added the offer to your cart (top right)

2. You will then be redirected to your cart page, if you would like to add more products, Click “Continue Shopping” when your cart page is displayed

3. In the ‘My Cart’ section, you will be given a summary of your order. You will be able to review, remove and change the number of items bought

4. If you’re happy with your order, click ‘Proceed to Secure Checkout’ to proceed to the payment section

5. Enter you Name and Email in the spaces provided

6. Select your preferred method of payment (Credit Card, Snapscan, Instant EFT or Payflex)

7. Click ‘Proceed to Payment’ to complete the purchase

7.1 If you selected “Credit Card, Debit Card or instant EFT”, you will be directed to the Payfast gateway to complete your payment

7.2 If you chose “Manual EFT”, you will receive an email with our banking details, once you have made your manual payment into our account, please send the proof of payment to [email protected], and you will be issued your voucher

7.3 If you chose “Buy Now, Pay Later with Payflex”, you will be directed to Payflex to complete your payment , see here for instructional video

8. Once payment is received, you’ll receive your FOMO voucher via the email you provided (check your spam folder)

How to make a Booking

FOMO does not handle bookings, you would need to purchase the voucher, contact details for the merchant will be on the voucher that is emailed to you.

What do I do with my voucher

Simply check the Fine Print of your voucher, it will tell you exactly what you need to know and what to do to redeem your FOMO voucher.

The Fine Print will give you the information you need to make contact with the partner offering you’ve bought.

Why I shouldn't pay merchants directly?

Please note if you pay the merchant directly, you will have no claim or protection from FOMO in the event of a cancellation/refund or fraudulent deal

FOMO works tirelessly to negotiate discounted deals for merchants on behalf of FOMO users and to protect users from fraudulent transactions as well as be protected by our cancellation and refund policy.

Because of this is, it is important not to pay merchants directly and always make your purchase through our platform. You may contact the merchant on availability for booking, but the purchase should always go through FOMO's platform.
