Adventure Zone Cullinan is our original and main branch. 12 Years ago we have created one of the longest, fastest and most exciting zipline routes in South-Africa. With 4 slides ranging from 260m to 570m, heights of 80m and speeds of up to 100km/h, this activity draws adrenaline seekers from all over the country! You can also try your hand at the ancient skill of target archery. Our experienced guides will teach you how to shoot a recurve bow as done in the Olympic games. “Aim small; miss small”, this is just two of the 16+ activities available at this branch.
Eat and drink at our kiosk after your adventure, while soaking in breath taking scenery at our deck area. Some activities on offer are; zipline, quad safari or quad trail, abseil or rap jump, archery tag or target archery, amazing race, djembe drumming, horse riding and hiking. Our hiking trail at Adventure Zone Muningi Gorge are considered one of the best trails in Gauteng, choose between our 3km, 5km or 8km. Once a month we treat 12 customers on our VIP activity our Full moon glide. This only takes place every month on the eve of full moon and includes our 4 slide zipline, game drive, sundowners and a lovely bush braai. Be sure to get in touch for the best time of your life. So... if you should feel like doing the “scary thing,” why not try the zip-line “scary thing” at the Muningi Gorge, outside Cullinan? Speaking from experience, I rate this exhilarating adventure right up there with bungee jumping and skydiving. Plus the fact that you get to see the incredibly lovely gorge, while zipping across it like an arrow.
The trainers/guides at the facility, Ndu and Lifa, are true professionals. They combine wit and humour with a no-nonsense approach. Great guys – both of them.
The harnesses and equipment seem to be in good working order – but the protective gloves are waaay beyond their use-by date.
All in all, it is money well spent. You should try it.
I had the only manual gearbox which worked out great as I've driven bikes before. But several of the other riders got stuck with automatics that couldn't even idle. So they had to restart the engine every few hundreds of meters. The guide's own quad smoked so bad that no-one wanted to ride directly behind him.
Something they didn't mention on the website is to bring goggles or sunglasses. The drive would've been impossible without eye cover. Talking about safety: if you have a bike helmet, I suggest you bring it as the toy hard hats they offer would be useless in a fall.
We didn't see much game but the experience of being on a dirt road on a quad with a manual gearbox made it worthwhile in the end for me.
