We visited Flirt this past Friday evening for their three course and cocktails special for 2 via the FOMO app and they did not disappoint!
We ordered the Jalapeño Poppers starter, which I forgot to photograph as I inhaled them, and the hard shell Prawn Birria tacos. Both were deliciously flavourful with just the right amount of spice. The food came quickly and timely and our waitress was fantastic with her food timing, drink suggestions, and letting us know about all the specials. I can’t recall her name but she had a short black bob hair style and was so lovely and accommodating. Drinks and food flowed seamlessly.
We ordered the Deep Fried Ice Cream and Crème Brûlée for dessert and both came with 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream. All in all good but the Crème Brûlée was somewhat tasteless and very creamy and the deep fried batter was a little raw inside.
The drink specials menu for happy hour (5pm - 7pm) was fantastic and a wide choice of cocktails to choose from. We had everything from the Jalapeño Mango Margarita to the Strawberry Lemonade Mojito and all were more than up to standard.
Overall a good atmosphere with moody lighting and decor true to the Mexican theme. It was quiet at first but great energy once people filtered in, the DJ started playing and the lights dimmed low. And a heads up that 10% gratuity is included in every bill.
