Gary’s Beach Horse Rides is an operator in Durban, South Africa.
20-minutes South of Durban is Warner Beach, one of the wide, long golden beaches that this area of KwaZulu Natal is famous for. Gary has been curating beach horse rides here since 2002 and has a team of beautifully kept horses who love going to the beach as much as we do.
The stables are located just a short walk from the beach, on a lovely track through coastal dunes, giving riders time to get comfortable before getting to the beach, where horses will be allowed, if the riders are competent, to move to a trot and in some cases a gallop.
Anyone wanting to experience the joys of beach riding will be accommodated by Gary, from absolute beginner to professional rider. The stable homes 24 horses, so it is easy to match guests to the right horse. For nervous riders or younger children, a lead rein can be used during the outride.
