FIND YOUR WAY AROUND A HERITAGE HOTEL

This 55-roomed boutique hotel was created by connecting five Victorian heritage buildings. The hotel was also modernised, and incorporates elements of South African heritage and culture in the artwork and decor throughout the rooms and reception areas, plus there’s a spa. It’s the section of the hotel you’ll pass first along Kloof Nek Road. Glance inside, and you’ll see a soft pink blossom tree towering over the numerous hair, nail and facial treatments.

To help you get your bearings, a host will walk you through the roomy, quirky hotel first. Turn left, and you’ll find yourself on the lower sundeck. Turn right, and you’re met with a hallway of vibrant art pieces from Sonja Nel, Tony Gum, Glen Tong and Tenday Navhira. Climb a flight of stairs, and you’ll get to the Mountain Rooftop Bar, where you can have a drink at a table, basking in upbeat tunes and 360-degree mountain views.
