1. PLANT, Cape Town CBD/ Camps Bay

One of Cape Town’s first vegan eateries, PLANT is an institution as far as vegan cafés in Cape Town go. Top tip for a lazy day: they’ll deliver for free within the city! They’re also extremely accommodating for any food allergies you may have.
PLANT has a branch in the heart of the CBD and a branch in Camps Bay. Now if you are feeling up to the challenge go take a run alongside the Camps Bay beach and stop at PLANT for a smoothie and breakfast.

2. Scheckter’s RAW, Sea Point

This one is for the super-healthy eater, serving everything from superfood lattés to plant-based healthy burgers. Well known for their raw vegan sweet treats too!

3. Lexi’s Eatery, Sea Point

New on the Cape Town vegan scene, Lexi’s is the perfect option if you have a mixed group of vegans and non-vegans. Whilst the menu is mostly vegan, they do have one or two meat-eater-friendly options. This is definitely one to try with their beautiful, very trendy decor!
Take a stroll down Sea Point main road where you’ll find thrift shops, cool bars or the stunning Sea Point promenade one street away.

4. Lekker Vegan, Kloof Street

If there’s someone you’ve been trying to help transition to veganism, Lekker Vegan’s gourmet vegan junk food is definitely a great start. We’re talking messy gatsby’s, giant burgers, and an array of vegan sauces.
You may even be able to get away with not telling them it’s vegan at all! Lekker Vegan describes themselves as “best vegan junk food in Africa”
5. The Sunshine Food Sprouting Co. Sea Point

Healthy meals made with love and mostly homegrown ingredients this little earthy spot will charm you! If you’re looking to pick up some sprouts to take home, they’ve got you covered too.
To really help you feel the grass between your toes, grab a takeaway, bring a picnic blanket and enjoy your meal in the Greenpoint Park at sunset, it’s a real treat!
